The year we are leaving behind

BEEN A BIT HAZY!!!

The past year transitioned from tranquillity to being swamped with challenges; from a sense of mastery to moments of sheer panic; from self-doubt to an overwhelming pace of change; from isolation to forming new bonds; from feeling uncherished to experiencing a gentle warmth.

This year has indeed been a whirlwind of experiences, predominantly marked by personal growth, self-discovery, and a deeper understanding of my strengths, weaknesses, and quirks. In essence, it’s been a journey of shedding my illusions.

The initial months were somewhat blurry, yet the latter half was so eventful it seemed as though I’d journeyed through a temporal vortex.

This year has been enlightening, filled with developments and lessons, underscoring the fact that my learning journey is just beginning and highlighting my previous naivety.

The year commenced with minor disruptions both within my family and personal spheres, as I made a conscious choice to distance myself from those who depleted my energy. This decision paved the way for a significant shift, where I found myself connecting with and turning strangers into cherished friends over the course of the year.

It began with a sense of confidence in my business acumen, allowing a sense of pride to swell within me. However, as the year progressed, this confidence transformed into a feeling of being overwhelmed and losing control. Despite witnessing short-term growth, I’m now grappling with the sense that I might be losing sight of the long-term vision and objectives.

This year has been a delicate balance between unleashing my inner child and feeling more mature than those around me. As a dedicated introvert, it’s been intriguing to see how new acquaintances have drawn out a surprisingly extroverted side of me.

It’s been a year marked by both contradictions and eye-opening moments, yet capturing its essence in words is a complex task.

While we can’t alter the past year, only learning from it, the prospect of what the coming years hold fills me with excitement.
